At the workplace it causes absenteeism and presenteeism – leading to a decrease in production that ultimately results in companies and countries losing large amounts of money. Cardiovascular Wellness

There is strong link between unmanaged stress, depression and cardiovascular problems. Stress is a leading cause of high blood pressure. Even a small stress response causes blood vessels to constrict. Men who report high levels of stress are twice as likely to suffer a fatal stroke compared to men who report low stress levels. As little as one incident of stress a week doubles the chance of a stroke. Depression and stress increase the risk of cardiovascular problems, as these conditions cause an increase in the circulation of the stress hormone cortisol - leading to an unstable state of chemical arousal in the body, and ultimately to heart attack and stroke. Alleviating stress plays a vital role in reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.

At Creative Coping we work with you to analyse your stressful events and patterns and help you to develop techniques and a plan to effectivley manage your stress, and to treat anxiety and depression.
